Two games.
One familiar table.
Different ways to build a winning hand. Choose the game you know, or start learning the other.

Build the hand. Find the faan.
Make four sets and a pair, or a special hand such as seven pairs or thirteen orphans. Chows, pungs and kongs shape your play; the classic profile asks for at least three faan to win.
144 tiles, including flowers and seasons. Scoring follows the game’s documented classic profile; table rules can differ elsewhere.
A little help.
A better next hand.
Learning mahjong takes more than knowing which button to press. Hello Mahjong can explain the tiles in your rack, suggest a move, and show you why.
Start where you are.
Take a quick app tour if you already play, choose guided lessons if you’re new, or go straight to regular bot play.
Ask the coach.
Get advice on what to keep, discard or call. Open “Why?” for the explanation, or hide the coach and play at your own pace.
Keep the rules nearby.
Both games have an in-app rulebook. American lessons also explain card requirements, concealed hands and the Charleston.

Made for the hand
in front of you.
A table you can read.
A three-dimensional rack, numbered tile faces, an overhead view and a closer view of the discards help you see what is in play.
Room to practise.
Play locally against three bots. Use lessons and offline practice to explore a rule or work through a decision without finding a table first.
Your own pace.
Guidance is optional. Switch between explanations, advice and regular play, with reduced-motion settings available in the game.
Your next seat
is taking shape.
Hello Mahjong is in development. The iPhone and iPad build is being tested in internal TestFlight; there is no public App Store release yet.

Is this tile-matching solitaire?
No. These are four-player mahjong games: you draw, discard and build a winning hand against three local bots.
Which American card does it use?
The game includes its own Open Card 2026. It is not an official National Mah Jongg League card, and this page makes no claim of affiliation or official card support.
Do Hong Kong rules vary?
Yes. Hello Mahjong’s classic profile uses a three-faan minimum and its own documented scoring and flower rules. The in-app rulebook explains the table you are playing.
Can I play online with friends?
This page describes verified local play. Public online multiplayer availability has not been confirmed.
Are these real screenshots?
Yes. They come from the game’s local self-test tours with fixture players. The American card preview is a desktop capture at a phone-sized landscape window, rather than a physical-device photo.
